In August 2023, the Council on Library and Information Resources published Remotely Useful: Practical Lessons for Northern Community Archiving, a guide I co-authored with Morgen Mills.
The publication grew from our experience working with archives and cultural collections in northern communities. It addresses the practical challenges of preserving documentary heritage in Arctic and Subarctic regions, where cultural and community records are closely connected to local histories, traditions, identities, and ecological knowledge.
Remotely Useful was published as part of CLIR’s Pocket Burgundy series and is freely available online.
